5a. Analyze the issues related to the use of advanced technology.
In the attached reflection, I discussed the benefits and disadvantages of electronic medical records. I outline priority issues for nurse executives including the use of advanced technology.

5b. Integrate informatics and current and emerging technologies into practice enhancing patient outcomes.
My group and I developed a webinar to present our evidence-based project using emerging technologies. My group and I researched the latest tools and recommended them for practice during our evidence-based project to enhance patient and family outcomes as outlined in our introduction.

5c. Communicate effectively based on the context of the situation.
My group and I used clear and effective communication in the making of our webinar, using excellent sound and relevant pictures to enhance learning (see above link). In the following reflection, I discuss my personal goals and career wishes including improving my verbal communication.

5d. Develop networks, collaboratives, partnerships, and interprofessional relationships to enhance nursing’s influence
within the academic/healthcare community and the broader community.
I developed an expansion grant for the Salvation Army Early Head Start program which included collaborative partnerships and interprofessional relationships to serve a community in need. I examined a program improvement process I wished to implement into my current role as a community health nurse, which includes strengthening community partnerships and interprofessional relationships.

5e. Develop skills for working within an institution and a system of governance.
I was surprised to learn that for-profit organizations and not-for-profit organizations make comparable revenue, yet they are set apart based on how they allocate that profit. I discuss how I would manage staffing and ratios in an inpatient hospital governed by federal laws.
